Adding a K&N to my friends Talon turbo, along with a cold
air intake, added 30 dynoed hp.

I'm not so friendly with K&Ns myself though. I am not sure if
they really filter the air as well as I might like for long
term life.

My theory is basically that if adding one adds 10hp and up
to a factory car for $100, why didn't the factory do it? My friends
Talon is a performance car, marketed to the type of people who
want horsepower. If I can get the filter for $100 in singles, you
know it would cost $35 to add to every car. If the horsepower is
indeed free, why wouldn't Eagle do it and sell more cars by
getting an edge on it's competitors?
