No! and No!  (Probably not the answers you wanted!)

The disc wheel axle housing is 1" longer than the wire wheel housing, so
each wire wheel half shaft is 1/2" shorter than the disc wheel ones. They
will fit into the housing and the differential splines but you have 1/2"
less spline engaged, with a consequent greater risk of half-shaft
breakage.
