Removing the engine isn't hard, but it's definitely a two man job.
You'll need to rent a hoist too.  If you start in the morning, you
should have the whole thing done by the end of the day (next day, at the
latest).

Just make sure you don't get a case of while-I'm-at-it-itis.  This can
lead to engine and tranny rebuillds, detailing the engine compartment,
etc. - lots of work you don't have time for, but feel you should do
while you have the engine out.
