Help. My TD MkII starts fine from cold, but is nearly impossible to start
when the air temp is 80+ and the temp indicator is 80C or higher. The
car has always had a little reluctance to start under these condtions,
but it's much worse this year. The only change of significance is that I
removed the mesh TF air filters and replaced with the TD oil-bath and its
aluminum manifold.
Fuel pumps pump, spark at the plugs is good. Starter spins the engine at
400+ rpm with the oil hot, but it doen't even make a pop until the water
temp returns to 75C or so. Would appreciate any and all suggestions.
