polishing exhaust ports

can anyone give me some info on what, how, etc. on polishing the ports
on my '70 MGB cylinder head?

I'm going to assemble the engine in two days and polishing of ports is the
last thing I can possibly do to this engine to make it better.

I don't have access to any literature other than Haynes, Lindsey Porter's
book, and the Chilton manual, so specific information would be helpful.
