Maybe a lose baffle in your exhaust system/muffler which is resonating at
3000 rpm?

Dear MG Guru's:

When I am driving my '71 MGB at highway speed and initially take my foot
off of the accelerator I hear a small vibration at 3000RPM (almost like
someone is blowing on a beer bottle). The noise goes away if I
accelerate or slow down some more. It drives straight and I can not
feel the vibration. I only hear it in 4th with O/D on or off.( For the
Record: I Love my Overdrive)

On a minor note, My interior is a light brown - not Autumn Leaf could
it be Ochre??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tim Foley
