Hi Ben,
I was rear-ended once at low speed in my Tercel; which came from the
factory without a proper headrest.
The impact immediately blew 2 vertabrae in my spinal column.
To this day, I experience pain and numbness that I never would have
had, except for the simple absence of a proper headrest. I can no longer
lift anything heavy, stand for long periods, use a Stairmaster, etc.
Please stick with the highest headrest you can get.
The top of a proper headrest should come to the top of your ears.
I went out and bought new seats with higher headrests after the
accident in order to keep the car.
  Take care of Ben.
  Please.

God Bless,
-Vince
