Tach help

Hey Listers -

My friend Bob Burton < bburton1@aol.com> is having trouble with his tach on
his 1979 MGB. The distributor is from a chrome bumper car and confuses the
'79 tach.  Is there any way to adapt the late tach to work with the older
dizzy.

PS he is also having trouble with his aol email so please respond to me or
the list (you also can cc Bob, it will be interesting to see if any
