There was a knife amnesty a year or two back. Basically tabloid
readers and pensioners handed in there cooking utensils (eat frozen
'TV dinners' and ready sliced white bread - hence no need for them).
The real criminal: "Officer I'm giving you this 12" blade because I've
gotta brand new sawn off shotgun"   -  as if!
