On the MGB you should also look for rust in the sills, rockers and floors.
As for price, it really comes down to how much cash you are willing to part
with. A '79 in decent shape should bring the owner offers in the $2-6K
range. Obviously you could pay a great deal more or less depending on your
location, the condition of the car and the motivation of the seller.
