Ok, I've experienced one of those too. Very effective but a real fuel =
guzzler, and expensive, most of the kerosene heaters are maintenance =
intensive, as I said earlier.

Thanks, that answers my question. The salamander type is a tube thing
that's set horizontally above the floor. It resembles a jet engine more
than a salamander, admittedly. There are blowers in it that push hot =
air
out vigorously. You may have seen them on construction sites, usually
burning kerosine. I have seen a propane model for $140 or so, and
wondered if $40 was from a better source than Home Depot.
