Mike,

All MGBs used Pozidriv screws, particularly in the engine bay and on
various hinges. I invested in a complete set (#1 through #4) in both
handled and square drive bit styles, and they are the best for working
on the B. No more stripped screw heads. DO NOT try to use a Phillips
driver on a Pozidriv screw.

As for Whitworth/British Standard sockets and wrenches, there are only a
few places on the B with these ancient style fasteners (early HS series
carbs, SU fuel pump banjo fittings, shock absorber filler plugs). You
should be able to work around these with a good range of Crescent
wrenches.

All the rest of the fasteners are pretty much standard SAE sizes,
although there may be a few Metric brake line fittings on late Bs.

Hope this helps,
Paul Kile
