Subject: coil question

While reading the mail recently, I noticed that mention was made to
installing a coil with no series resistor, and melted the insulation on the
points (112 volts to the points).

To put my mind at ease, and to know exactly what I have installed in my
75B, I ordered a coil for a 75 last year, but my car has no dropping
resistor, and I would like to know if the coil is OK running on 12 Volts.

There is no voltage rating on the coil, but it is a Lucas model DLB 102.
Does anyone have the rating of this unit?
