So sorry to hear of your misfortune. I suggest an ad in a campus
newspaper or something, offering a reward ($50 or so) to anyone with
information leading to solving the crime (hit & run IS a crime). You'd
be surprised how many witnesses come forward when there's something in
it for them. Otherwise, they see no reason to get involved. Hey, it
couldn't hurt to try.
