So did you replace the ball bearings with tapered bearings, or just
adjust your ball bearings as though they were tapered bearings?  If the
former, how did you figure out which bearings to use, and would you
share the information with someone who's too lazy to figure it out
himself?>>

What ball bearings? I took the gentleman to be talking about MGB front wheel
bearings. They, as well as MGC and MGA Twincam, have taper roller bearings.
The more mundane sort of MGA has ball bearings and need no adjustment for end
float.
