new top gaps

my new top has gaps were it hooks down in back im wondering if the rear
holdown bar is backwards or maybe its to long?  the old top did not have
this ploblem.  It looks like in the catalogs that the replacement bars
are not as long .  Mine goes 2-3 inches past the rear holdowns any
