Hello-- Has anyone had any experience with the Sears Craftsman 85 amp gas shielded mig welder on mg frame and/or sheet metal repair? It's advertised to handle 24 ga to 3/16", which should include the 16- and 20 ga metal on my mga. I'm looking for the least expensive rig that'll get the job done, but I've seen & read references to 100+ amps being necessary. I'd even get a stick welder, but I guess I'd burn holes in the sheet metal. Thanks for any info. John Vallely |
