Check for air leaks around all of the gaskets between the carbs and the
head, and around the throttle shafts.  Spray a little carb cleaner on these
points and see if the idle speed changes.

Also, if the throttle shafts are worn and loose, one of the throttle plates
could be misaligned enough to hit the throat of the carb and prevent it
from closing all the way.

Probably won't make any noticable difference.  If it does, you have another
problem
