        If you guys really want to pursue this freezing technique, you
might want to see if you can find an equine veterinarian in your
neighborhood who uses cryosurgical equipment (used on such things as the
equivalent of warts).  There's a device with a stylus that delivers small
amounts of liquid cold to specific areas.  I don't know how common the
devices are, nor how willing the vet would be to perform cryosurgery on an
LBC, but it's prolly safer than trying it at home DIY style.
