1. don't know about "3-step" but as I said, polish, i.e. cut the finish for
shine, wax to protect.
2. Saddle soap first, which will clean and moisturize, THEN find a suitable
leather balm (which will be a wax and mink oil combo or synthesized to do
the same thing).
3. Brasso. Cheap and does the same as all the high priced stuff for chrome.
These are all old, tried and true methods of caring for paint, leather and
shiny metal.
Also, Simple Green is an excellent product for degreasing and cleaning, in
conjunction with a 3M scrub pad (like used for pots and pans) and a rag.
Some restoration things don't require you to spend a lot of money, just lots
of elbow grease. There is no easy "miracle solution" in any of the above.
