Speaking of Corvettes, hehe
I work with a Corvette guy, he loves giving me crap about "British junk" ("I
owned a TR4 for a while - what a piece of junk that was!") Yeah, ok...and
you're green with envy when you see me pull up in my B aren't you?" yadda
yadda
He's exactly the persona that typifies Corvette drivers -- an obnoxious old
SOB -- but he's a car lover and we share an enthusiasm for our marques., I
don't get bent outta shape about his jibes. I know he hates it when I
respond with facts -- like my B is daily driveable with less than $3500
invested, and it's fun, unique (which 'vettes are not) etc...
The new Vette is a real value considering its capabilities, but I don't have
$45K laying around. I certainly wouldn't let some pre-conceived notion of
the personality required to own a good American car stand in my way, though.
Anyway, maybe I'll get a vette someday, but it would have to share space
with an LBC!
BTW, Japan didn't DROP the first bomb, they were on the RECEIVING end, and a
German helped US do it! ;)
