Hello all.
My son and myself just got back from the Moss 50th anniversary festival
at Flag is up farms near Solvang.and what a great time!There must have
been 600 cars there!It was a little hot(100) but cooled off at night ok.
I wore my list hat all weekend and didn't see any others but with the
crowd I may have missed them.We got 37th in the rally so we were pretty
happy seeing as how this was our only 2nd rally and we didn't finish
last year!We would have done better but we got caught in a trap they
fiendishly devised!But on the 2nd checkpoint we were only 4 seconds off!
This year Moss let Miatas in and they were well represented and I had to
admit they seemed more enthuastic than us!
One guy was changing his radiator in a bugeye and the miata people
didn't to know what to make of it!If any listers were there and I missed
your hat I'm sorry.They have a "funkana" were you have to drive around
with abag on your head and try to navigate thru haybales and the
funniest was when some one tried it in a Hummer!He didn,t even try the
balance beam he was too wide!Well if you missed it you missed a good one
and hats off to Moss for running it with a minimum of problems!We can't
wait 'til next year we will pay more attention to the "rally traps"!
