I just had my radiator shell re-chromed. I had to buy a new False Nose (as
MOSS calls it) because the old one was beyond repair. My question is about the
metal strap soldered on the bottom of the nose at the rear. I'm not sure what
to do with this strap. The old nose shows the imprint of a strap, but it is
long gone. Is the strap supposed to be soldered to the shell, or just bent
under? Will chrome even take solder?
