Try this... it's worked for me in the past, and my neighbor now thinks I'm
brilliant, 'cause I saved him a few bucks.
Drive in reverse and hit the brakes fairly hard a few times... then drive
away.  The hard friction in the reverse direction often has the effect of
smoothingoff the parts of the surface that sing, I guess.  It works!  It's
free!
