How far is this permitted???

For instance, the MGB ran with a 1798cc 'B' series, from which the
1700cc and 2000cc 'O' series sohc engine was developed, ( and fitted to
two MGB's in 1979.) This 'O' series was fitted to the Marina in 1978,
and led to the 'O2' series fitted in the Rover SDI 2000 in 1982. That
went into the MG Maestro in 1984 and Montego 2.0i and EFi models in
1987, and use Lucas L Electronic injection, ( Bosche Jetronic under
licence.) Both were later turbocharged, ( 150bhp, 169 lb.torque,) and
use VW Golf gearboxes. Then the 'O2' was fitted with a tohc head and
called a 'M16' in 1987, and fitted to the Rover 820 series, and is now
still in production in Rover saloons as the 'T' ( turbo) series. ALL ARE
BASED ON THE 'B' ( MGA/MGB) SERIES BLOCK, with minor modifications, such
as using aluminium alloy and not cast iron.

Interesting.................................!
