Rick,

I will certainly check the references you kindly provided.  Interesting
comments on my original post.  I still think that within "normal" limits
that milling the head won't change the geometry.  By "normal" limits, I
am referring to the range of adjustment provided by the valve lash
adjustment screw.  

I believe that the pushrod and the screw should be considered together,
as an assembly which connects to the point of attachment on the rocker
arm.  Yes, when the head is milled, the pushrod hits the rocker screw at
a higher point, but by adjusting the screw to compensate, the point of
attack at the rocker arm itself is unchanged.  If that is true, then the
valve train geometry is unchanged, with the granted exception of the
point at which the pushrod bears on the adjustment screw.

Now to find a copy of Vizard....Larry, you got one, right?
