Don't use anti-sieze on the pads. There is a specific (blue) glue available
called Anti-Squeal or something like that, for brake pads. Mine is from
Permatex. The idea IS to glue the pad to the piston so that it doesn't become
loose, contact the rotor, and cause a squeal. Look at your local parts store
in the glue/locktite/brake stuff/RTV/gasket compound section.
Semi-metallic pads are about the best for all-around use. One last reminder,
make sure everything is completely clean and dust free before assembling. Use
Brakecleen (sp?) or even a parts washer to clean everything, including the
rotors, and then blow out the liquid with a compressor to dry it all. Where
brakes are concerned, you can't be too clean. Any loose dust will get
embedded in the new pads and cause more noise.
