        Pick away mate, I havn't the faintest idea.  I've got the
feeling that it probably works at least as well as the stock coil.  I
base this on the knowledge that lots of people (including myself) have
installed them incorrectly and not really noticed any noticable
reduction in performance.

Word on the street is that Dodd, Kelvin said:

Using the sport coil with the ballasted system would still give you more
sparking voltage than the stock coil, wouldn't it?  Since it has more
internal windings or some such.  Not that I'm advocating NOT bypassing
the resistive wire, I just feel compelled to nitpick ;)
