Hi all!

Okay! The engine and post-74 OD tranny are in the '67 B project car. But I've
got a little problem. With the shift linkage cover off of the tunnel, the shift
arm on the tranny extends behind the opening in the tunnel. In other words, I'm
going to have to cut some metal out of the tunnel at the back of the hole so the
shift arm can come up where it belongs. Then I will also need a new tunnel
cover that will extend back far enough to cover the shift arm.

I vaguely remember someone mentioning a replacement tunnel cover that is made
for just this situation. Can anyone tell me where to get one? Any other
suggestions? Like maybe doing the cutting _before_ the tranny is in the
car...doh!

That's the nice thing about having resurrected a car from beyond the grave--I
feel I can do things like this. I would never cut up the body of my other car
that I bought before anyone had a chance to trash it (anyone else, that is).
