The oil dip stick on my 62 MGA Mk II engine (it is a bent rather than
straight stick) bottoms out on metal when i drop it into the dip stick
tube. Is this normal or should there be some sort of collar on the stick
to prevent this from happening. If there is a collar what is its distance
from the bottom end of the stick?
