A few years ago, I met a gent at Lake Tahoe and we got to talking MG's. His
name sounded familiar and he was from Baton Rouge. I said "Did your family
have a BMC dealership in Baton Rouge in the late 50's?" He " yes that was my
brother, I used to work over there sometimes" Me " I traded my TD there on
a black MGA coupe in 1960 when I graduated LSU. It had green leather which
was a little unusual" He "That was my car!! I impregnated my wife in that
MG and had to get a bigger car when the baby came!!!"
If you have ever sat in an MGA coupe, you will know what a trick this was, no
pun intended!!
