Today, just as I was reading all this stuff on the list about Matchbox MGFs
at Walmart, my wife called me on her cell while out shopping - at guess
where! Did I need anything? The bottom line is she came home with
Wal-mart's entire stock of Matchbox MGFs - six of them. They're all yellow
with a blaze racing stripe and MG logo. She was upset because they call
them "Matchbox" but hey they don't come in little matchboxes anymore. She
thinks they ought to rename them "Bubblepack" cars. At any rate, I opened
one to put in with my collection of Tri-ang Minic clockwork Brits from the
early '50s (any Minic collectors out there?) and the rest will remain in
their bubble packs indefinitely.
I love my wife!!

PS: At the Wal-mart in Christiansburg Virginia, they cost $0.92 each! Did
they make any other colors?
