I could not agree with this more. While the upfront costs of such a
school are quite expensive (I did Bondurant to the tune of about 2K for
3 days), not only is driving someone else's race car on a road course
better than sex (really, it is), you learn a heck of a lot. I know
Bondurant offers a "Advanced Teenage Defensive Driving" school, 495/1345
(1/2 dats in dollars) that is supposed to be great. My instructors at
Bondurant were top notch, the equipment was first rate...OK I'll stop

If this costs too much, try doing something like Car Guys. Car Guys is
an East Coast-based track school where you use your own car...which is
good or bad. Bad in that it's your tires, brakes, etc that you beat up,
and/or pile into the wall. Good in that it's cheap. A Car Guys school
is usu. 300-400 bucks depending on course (something like Watkins Glen
costs more). The instruction is quite good and the seat time is
great...about 3 hours for a Sat-Sun weekend. And using your own car,
IMO, is a good way to learn the nuances of the way it handles.

never subjected the B to such things but maybe someday I will.
