I replaced the gaskets and seals on a 4-synchro gearbox last night and the rear main seal looks different than the seal that had been in. The previous seal had a metal face and was tight as a tick (but still leaked) and the new seal is rubber and was a hand fit (seemed too loose). Anybody else experienced with this?
