I know I am getting to the "fanatical" stage, but I have just not been able
to bring myself to attach the grungy, faded, scratched up VIN# build plate
to the sill of my newly painted MGB. As long as the VIN plate is still
attached by the windshield on the dash I guess I am legal, but it isn't
right, and there are two holes in the sill where it is supposed to go. I see
that new plates are available from various vendors. How do I find some way
to emboss the numbers from the old plate into a new one? I imagine this
could be tricky as no one would want to falsify registration plates for
cars, but it sure would look nice to have a fresh one on the door sill. Any
ideas?
