     A loose timing chain can cause your motor to run a little off song, idle 
and everywhere..it also exhibits symptoms of a camshaft that is 1)either real 
flat at the lobes, or 2) it is not in time with the crank.either way it may 
be worth while to pull the timing cover and have a look -see..even if the 
dizzy is off a few teeth on the camshaft, it would be possible to align it so 
the beasty would run smooth..
     i hope you get your lbc running soon..it is warming up nicely 
everywhere..:-)
