Well, Kevin, I tried all the popular tricks, including the one from
Eastwood which worked better than the others. None of them worked as
well as a hardened 1/4" drill bit. You have to be careful where and how
much you drill but it works well. If you do it right, you have a nice
hole where you can do a spectacular plug weld. There isn't any
easy/glamourous way to do it.
