I got a gadget that was essentially a 3/8" hole cutter at an autobody
supply store. If you use them carefully, with a light touch so you don't
catch and break off teeth, they work very well, esp. on relatively flat
metal. Get a few replacement cutters, though. Keep the cutting edges
oiled.
