What I can't figure out is why anyone wants brighter bulbs in the dash
lights. I usually have them turned down about 1/3. Plus, it's not so much
an issue of bulb brightness as it is uneven illumination due to the
assymetrical side lighting setup, as opposed to backlighting seen in
modern instruments. I don't know that brighter bulbs would help that
much, in that you'd still have the drop-off in brightness across the
face. More bulbs! That's the answer!
