My first move would be to remove, clean and tighten the battery +/-
clamps. If it doesn't help, test the battery or swap in a different
battery temporarily to prove/disprove that the battery is the culprit.
The lamps don't pull nearly as many amps as the starter, so are not a
reliable indicator of battery health.
firstname.lastname@example.org had this to say:
>I went to start the '73 BGT today and it at first tried ti
>turn over but was very sluggish. Then When I tried all it
>did was go...click...click...click. Would this be selinoid?
>Starter? Altinator? All of the above? Which should I check
>first? Batteries are good all lights still shine bright.
>Thanks in advance.
