Todd:
A fully charged 12V lead acid battery will read between 12.7 and 13.0VDC
depending on temperature. The hotter it is the lower the voltage of a fully
charged battery. A fully charged 6V battery will 1/2 of this range. It sound
like:
1) you have 2 paralleled batteries and
2) they are both dead.

Try charging them overnight with a very good charger, and then test your
car's charging system. At 2K rpms, your batteries should read over 14VDC.

Hope that helps..

Well, Lucas the eternal prince of darkness has struck again.

I can't get my MG to start. It will grown then click, click, click. It
even wipes out the clock on my radio each time I try to turn it over. I
have cleaned all the posts, replaced all the battery cable connections,
tested both batteries (each read about 11.80). I am at a loss. Could it be
my connection to my starter? Help! I was so looking forward to driving it
to the meeting in MPLS for the NAMGBR.

Thanks
Todd
