Hmm, well, I suspect my experience is unique, since the elbows and flex
tubes are original, but the tubes from the box to the elbows had been
replaced with plastic drain tube (this I know from the Orchard Supply price
label). The plastic tubes fit in the holes and stay there, and the elbows
go on the free end of the tubes. I have a '69MGB, perhaps there are
different configurations for different years with differing amounts of space
to work below the heater box.
