Looking to see if anyone has any history or information about the 1920s/30s
MG-logoed pocketwatch shown at

http://www.mgcars.org.uk/farina/watch.jpg

All I know is that the movement is from a 1910 Longines... 21 Jewels... but
it was recased in the late 20's or early 30's. The previous owner had no
additional information, and had a large collection of mainly american marque
logo watches his father had collected

The watch repairman (who has repaired this stupid thing 3 times in 5 years
for the SAME problem) says that the logo and face were fired at once...
meaning that the MG logo was painted on at the same time as the numerals.

The small print is: "Winter's" "MPL'S" then the MG logo and then "Swiss".
Any people in the UK know about a "Winter's" jewelry store in the UK in the
1920s/30s?

Any help about finding out more information would be greatly appreciated.
I've had this watch a while... and asked this newserver about it several
years ago but I've never had a picture available. I just found the watch
again in a desk drawer so now I'm intrigued with it again! Maybe I'll even
have it fixed again? NAH!

Thanks-

John
