Thanks for the responses. I guess I didn't say exactly what I meant to in
my original message. What I'm trying to do is determine the original color
of my car. Is there a way to do this without getting the British Heritage
certificate? On my 71 TR6 the color code is on the vin plate. I looked at
the Moss catalog last night, but couldn't find where the paint info is
located. I have looked at various web sites and have seen the various codes
for paint colors, I just don't know if that paint code is actually on the
car somewhere.

Hello Ken,
The MGB's paint code is not a part of the VIN. The Moss MGB parts catalog
has a listing of the paint formulae by years.
