 Hello List.
You may remember my last unlurking as the Lurker who missed driving his
car after having his license suspended when he was in a coma for three or
four days.
Got my license reinstated and am gleefully driving my MGA whenever I get
the chance. Man I love that car!
My question is about retorqing the head. I remember reading about it
somewhere, but can't find the source. What's the procedure? Retorque hot?
After engine cools down? Do I use the same torque values as I did when I
torqued the head the first time?
It has been about 7,000 miles since the engine rebuild, so perhaps it's
been too long for this?
The engine was rebuilt with the copper head gasket, head and block
resurfaced during machine work by those maniacs that forgot to put the
insides of the oilpump in when they built the shortblock. Not that I'm
bitter! ( Ptuey!! I spit on them! )
I'm still on disability for another month or so, so I'm trying to do the
body work on the car. Dang it though, If it's nice enough to work on the car,
it's nice enough to drive it!! (which is what I'll be doing soon after I send
this!)
    Thanks for any info.
