Greetings...Don't want to stir up too much controversy, but I believe the 
automatic gearboxes in the MGC (Borg-Warner 35) used a 3.307 ratio 
differential. The factory workshoppe manual (MGC Issue #2 #21362 dated 1969) 
states on Data Page 3 : 
    AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
    Overall Ratios:
    Top - 3.307:1
    2nd - 4.795:1
    1st - 7.903:1
    Reverse -  6.911:1

Early MGCs (up to #4236) used either a 3.07 for standard transmission or a 
3.307 with overdrive transmisison (2.71 with overdrive engaged). Later MGCs 
used the 3.307 for standard or the 3.7 (3.03 with overdrive engaged) 
differential.
