Tire shops and air impacts are like gorrillas in the china shop. 
I have had to replace several wheel studs on cars because of the
excess tightening.  Around here, most places will still let you
into the shop.  I go back to the man doing the work and tell him,
"Use a torque wrench."  Some just catch flies in their mouths,
some have to go borrow one, and once in a great while, the guy
will get one out of HIS box.
