Hey, that actually sounds like it would make more visual sense than the 
MGC hood did originally (what was the idea with that side-to-side chrome 
strip?). Since you're going to have to do a lot of filler work anyway, 
have you thought about riveting the sheet metal? That's gonna be one big 
ram-air scoop -- I don't think you have to worry about insufficient 
airflow. I think it's a clever idea, post some pictures when it's done.
