Carb tuning

Listers,

I am attempting to tune my AUD256, 1968 MGB, carbs and have a question. In
the Haynes manual it gives idle RPM's for engine types but the 18GF (and a
few others) is not listed. I assume this is due to the emissions junk (?).
My 68 has had all but the crankcase value removed. When tuning my carb what
RPM should I be attempting to reach? Thanks for the help...
