Take a low key two day 200mi TSD rally, add various driving tests at the
checkpoints, compete in MGs as old as an L type Magna (I think), all the way
up to late model RBB's and you have a great time! It was headquartered at
Roscoe Village, a restored mid 1800's village, in Coshocton, OH. Any of you
familiar with the area know how great the country roads are in that area.

This event, hosted by the Ohio Chptr NEMGTR was a blast for all who
attended. Not only did we have the rally, but the driving tests consisted
of a real hillclimb, (that's right, huge steep hill on Paddyfork farm, not
paved, @ 6 switchbacks to contend with), two gymkhanas, (again on the farm,
in the dirt), and an MG limbo.
It was incredible to see the L type, TCs, TDs, TFs, MGBs, (CB and RB) and my
lone MGA kick'n up the dirt!
There was a team competition as well, MGs of Baltimore, Ohio Chptr, and
Central Ohio MG club (I think) were the three teams this year. I hope to
have an all MGA team from the Mi Rowdies for next years event.

I knew it was going to be good because one of the rally masters runs a BGT
in Performance Rally competition. You can find out more about Rhybudd
racing at http://www.rhybudd.com/.

I would challenge any of your 'daily drivers' or 'showcars' to get in the
dirt with us next year!!! You might have to join the Ohio Chptr (as I did),
or be in one of the clubs invited to enter a team, but it is certainly worth
it, that is if you really like "driving" your MG as they used to be driven.
8*) BTW, the course is not designed to be a 'car buster', but if you
weren't careful....
After we were finished with the last gymkhana, my wife (navigator) said our
car was 'smiling'. Yup, it was, and so was I. Barney, I now know about
that 6500 - 7000 rpm range you speak of. Just hope'n it will hold on till
the next pylon.

Great folks, and great fun with great cars!

Safety Fast!
